Mobile App for Minderico – “Frederica Jordar Zambarino”

Frederica Jordar Zambarino (“Who wants to be a millionaire”) is an android app in and for Minderico (an endangered language spoken in Minde, Portugal) developed by two interns of CIDLeS Media Lab – Ricardo Filipe and João Seguro. Frederica Jordar Zambarino aims at practicing Minderico in a playful way and on the go. Ricardo and João used Minderico data from documentation and revitalization projects carried out at CIDLeS. The main database of this app is the language course O Touquim Xaral, whose interactive version was also developed by João Seguro.
