About the Spring School
The field of language documentation has matured over the last 15 years. A good knowledge of its methodology, standards and new trends is important to ensure qualitative, lasting, multipurpose, innovative as well as sustainable documentation.
This spring school, a CIDLeS-ELDP event, aims at bringing together not only students and researchers of linguistics and related fields engaged in language documentation but also speakers of endangered languages and local language workers that want to learn more about this research field and are eager to collaborate in documentation projects or to develop their own documentation.
The major goal of LDT 2016 is to introduce the participants into the theory and methods of language documentation. The goal is to acquire the knowledge and competence to conduct one’s own documentation projects with regard to endangered languages.
The number of participants is limited to 25.

Fee
The spring school fee includes materials, lunch and coffee breaks during the training. Accommodation is not included. Please check the accommodation packages below.
- CIDLeS’ members: 350€
- Students*: 400€
- Postdocs*: 450€
- Normal fee (university staff & others): 550€
*Please send a copy of your student ID or other document that proves your student / postdoc status to info@cidles.eu immediatly after the application.
Upon acceptance, participants must pay a non-refundable 150€ deposit within 10 working days of acceptance to hold their space in LDT 2016. The deposit will be applied to the cost of LDT fee, the balance of which is due on February 29th 2016.
Accommodation packages
We offer special accommodation packages for the Hotel Eurosol in Alcanena, where the event will take place. The packages include 7 nights (check-in: March 27th 2016 / check-out: April 3rd 2016) and breakfast. We book for you. The payment should be done at the hotel. You can choose your package in the registration form.
Single room: 245€
Double room: 282€* (price per room/2 pax)
*If you choose the double room package, please indicate the name of the other person/participant who will share the room with you.
