Declaration of Public Utility

On July 17th 2014, CIDLeS saw its work on the study and promotion of endangered languages and on the development of language technologies for under-resourced languages being officially recognized by acquiring the status of public utility institution (according to Decreto-Lei nº 460/770 of November 7th).

The Declaration of Public Utility was passed by the Minister of the Presidency and of Parliamentary Affairs, Luís Marques Guedes and published in Diário da República Nr. 146 on July 31st.
